Tracing from the Web is much different than tracing on the Desktop. A combination of keys on the keyboard is used to start/stop tracing. You also do not have the opportunity to name your trace file. There two ways to start and stop a trace on the Web. The one used the most is CTRL+Shift+S below.
CTRL+Shift+S
To Start a Trace
1. From the Web UI screen press Ctrl + Shift + S. You will not receive a prompt on screen but tracing is running.
At this point, you will return and execute the process you are capturing the trace for . Then return and complete the steps to stop the trace.
To Stop a Trace
2. From the Web UI screen press Ctrl + Shift + S.
3. Click OK
4. Contact support with the approximate time of your trace and your user ID. This will make it easier to find your trace file.
Always make sure you stop your trace if not the size of the trace file will continue to build and can potentially cause system performance issues.
CTRL+Shift+L
To Start a Trace
1. From the Web UI screen press Ctrl + Shift + L ; the below screen will appear
2. Click Log to Server, then click X to close the window.
At this point, you will return and execute the process you are capturing the trace for . Then return and complete the steps to stop the trace.
To Stop a Trace
3. From the Web UI screen press Ctrl + Shift + L
4. Click Log to Server to stop the trace
5. Click OK
6. You will be returned to the tracing screen. Click X to close the screen.
6. Contact support with the approximate time of your trace and your user ID. This will make it easier to find your trace file.
Always make sure you stop your trace if not the size of the trace file will continue to build and can potentially cause system performance issues.

To Start a Trace
1. Press F7 from almost any screen for Tools Menu.
2. Access the Utilities Menu
3. Access the Server Tracing option
4. Press Enter to move cursor to Trace File field. Change name of Trace File ending with .log
Tip
Make the name unique by adding a date and/or version number to the trace name.
5. Press Enter
6. Enter Y to start trace; You will be returned to the Utilities Menu
7. Press F1 to back out of the Utilities Screen
At this point, you will return and execute the process you are capturing the trace for . Then return and complete the steps to stop the trace.

3. Access Device Tracing
4. Press Enter to move cursor to Trace File field. Change name of Trace File ending with .out
