RF Messaging

Web UI

 1.  Navigate to the RF Messaging tab from most menus (Outbound Planner, Receiving, Shipping, Picking, etc...).  Click on Select Recipients

2.  Select User, RF Device or Authorized Roles you wish to send a message to by checking the box beside the ID you wish to send a message to.  Click OK
3. Enter the Message text to send. Click Send

In addition to sending  a message you can also send a shutdown message to the RF by setting the Message Type to Shut Down .  This message type will force the RF to shutdown.  This is sometimes necessary if an RF is locked up.

4.  Click OK to acknowledge message has been sent

RF

 1.  From any RF screen press F7 to go to Tools Menu

2.  Go to the Next menu (Opt 0); Choose Send Message

3.  Enter User ID, Device or Role and then the Message to send. Press Enter

4.  Choose Y to send the message

5.  Press Enter to confirm sending the message

6.  You are returned to the Send Message screen

7.  Press F1 to return to Tools Menu, then F1 again to exit the Tools Menu
